Another interesting area of expertise for my team at Hatch is our work to support the delivery of much needed #renewable #energy investments including #wind, #solar, #tidal, #geothermal, #hydrogen and #SMR. The post below sets out more information on the projects Sean and colleagues have been leading, and how we expect investment to ramp up as the new UK government #accelerates #energy #transition. 🍃☀ 🌊 ⚛

The 2012 Social Value Act is full of solid ambitions but a week rarely passes without another client, collaborator or colleague lamenting how great intentions for #outcomes have been dumbed down into box tick lists of #outputs. 🤦🏻Sound familiar? Talk to my Hatch colleague Sarah Richards to find out more about how we’re shaping the #socialimpact agenda with investors, developers and their stakeholders.💥

One of the joys of a new challenge is learning about new things. In my first six months at Hatch I have been particularly fascinated by the arts & culture clients that keep coming back to Tim for support in making the case for investment. If you're not one of them yet, I'd encourage you to join the band... 😉

One of the strengths of Hatch is our flat global structure, but only if we can leverage it! To this end, I’ve just returned from a 14 day trip to #Singapore, #Sydney, #Melbourne and #Perth.🌍I’m not a fan of unconstrained long distance travel (and the associated negative externalities) but I firmly believe that deep personal connections are critical for successful teams.💥 It’s been an action packed and inspiring schedule of colleagues, clients, coffees, chats, workshops, dinners, beers and more - and also a great opportunity to focus on what we want from our #UrbanSolutions business, and how to make this happen.🙏And so back to the day job of leading the UK team, and leaning into the EU & ME markets, but now with a much clearer understanding of our global capabilities, and underpinned by the deep connections that will be essential for success.🤝And finally, no trip is complete without a few quirky photos of places & me, plus a guest appearance from my colleague Leigh Holford too!Want to know more? Day 4 of UKREiiF* and I’m back home in #Stockport (the #1 place to live in the North West) with 101 things to follow up on plus a full inbox and everything else that has been parked all week.Yesterday was a lot quieter on site - but still plenty going on. Great to see Helen Lafferty, Sean Traynor, Catherine Birks and Paul Irwin. Also enjoyed the PLACED workshop with Jo Harrop and a fabulous team of planners, designers and communicators!🙏Really nice to talk to Nicole Billington CIPR re #Preston (my birthplace!) and see Hatch acknowledged for our work on their 2035 Plan.💥So, is today a good day to be booking hotels for UKREiiF 2025?Bring on the long weekend.😴🍻———*aka “the day after UKREiiF”!
